Getting Started

The process starts with us visiting your garden. We sit down with you and discuss how you imagine using the space, your aspirations for the garden and how we can realise your dreams. A survey of the garden provides vital information for the design process.

Design phase

Once we have all this information then the design process can begin. We will create an outline design. Once you are happy with everything then we progress to the detail design. This includes planting plans and construction details. Specifications of works can also be drawn up for the tender process.

Creation

Once you are happy with the designs then we need to find someone to bring your dream garden to life. We go to tender, a contractor is chosen and the build begins. We are always on hand to answer any questions and to sign off the contractors work. We monitor the garden throughout its development to ensure you are happy. We can then offer maintenance or link you up with a local maintenance company to care for your new garden.

Planting Design

We also offer a design service aiming to renovate tired planing areas in your garden. This could be as simple as adding some more perennials and bulbs but could extend to large trees and shrubs too. When creating new planing areas we take the approach of ‘right plant right place’. This ensures that the plants that we add with thrive in your garden. Our planting design is made up of two stages, We first create a mood board of potential plants that you could have in your space. Once you are happy with this we then produce a planting plan to indicate numbers of plants needed and then get nurseries to provide quotes.

Meadow and Biodiversity Creation

Along side our services relating to gardens we also have a selection of services relating to landscapes and biodiversity.

Oliver had been involved in many meadow and woodland creation projects and has seen firsthand the wildlife benefits these schemes have. One of these is even in the process of getting SSSI status.

Garden Room Design

We offer a design service for garden buildings. Examples include garden rooms, pool houses and pergolas.

This service includes a design of the garden building plan view and elevations. Once this has been agreed then detailed drawings are produced for the contractor.
