Plantsman’s garden

Our clients were moving back to London after spending many years in Liverpool for work. Being a small garden that was accessible from the kitchen they decided they did not want a large dining area in the garden but instead wanted a spot to sit read the paper and have tea and cake with their family and friends who lived nearby. Seasonal interest was also a top priority as the kitchen had bifold doors and a picture window giving great views of the garden.

We created a seating area in the centre of the garden surrounded by planting. The seating takes the form of a bench that allows the view of the garden not to be blocked by chairs. The kitchen has a large picture window as seasonal interest was a top priority we planted a large shrub that has lovely autumn colour and winter berries. The rest of the garden is planted with perennials and ferns with a new plant flowering every month the planting is never not changing.
