Our client was a young professional who had recently relocated his company to Cambridge. He had bought the house as a new build so the garden was a blank canvas of lawn and fencing panels. He wanted to transform it to give him privacy from his neighbours and a space to entertain his friends and employees at his home. One of the key priorities was to include a garden room in the garden for him to use as a home gym / office.

We took advantage of the length of the garden and located the new garden room at the side to take advantage of this view. In order to create privacy we created a large border full of trees, shrubs and perennials to block out the neighbours views of the garden. We have included a small lawn that is able to be mown by a robot mower that lives under the garden room. As the garden room is not connected to the house it also enabled us to create a secret courtyard garden at the side of it. Pleached trees along the boundary with the road improves the properties. Finally there is a new dining terrace for entertain in the garden surrounded by seasonal plating beds.
