The design process starts with an initial consultation so we can see the space and discuss your aspirations for it. We then produce a design and detailed drawings to enable the garden to be built to the highest specifications.
Although we do not physically build your new garden ourselves we are actively on hand throughout the build process conducting site visits and making sure the project runs smoothly.
Gardens take time too mature so we feel it is important our guidance does not stop when the build is completed. Included in our fees are visits throughout the first year of the gardens development so we can check on progress and advise where necessary.
Every garden we create is unique individually tailored to your needs and aspirations. We aim to work with you to realise your gardens potential and exceed your expectations in terms of design and plant choices in order to make it exceptional.
Before founding Oliver Rutman Garden Design, Oliver trained at Royal Botanical Gardens Kew and at Great Dixter in Sussex. Both of these gardens are rebounded for their collections on plants and experimental plating combinations.
Planting a garden is a long term project. So we remain on hand even after the garden is completed to offer advice and guidance as the garden grows. In particular during the first year we will make a number of return visits to check on the gardens development.
